Vishwamitra names them Ram and Lakshmana, excellent brothers in whom beauty, virtue, and strength dwell together without conflict.
Their youth does not hide untested promise. They guarded the sacrifice while demons attacked, and the whole world stands witness to the victory. Sacred fire continued because the two princes stood before it.
They have also destroyed the blazing fire of worldly fear. The outer battle reveals an inward power: where Ram and Lakshmana protect, the heat that drives beings through anxiety and becoming begins to cool. The guarded altar becomes a sign of that refuge.
