Tulsidas turns from Ahalya's release toward his own heart. This is the Lord before whom he stands: friend of the lowly, Hari whose compassion does not wait for a cause sufficient to deserve it.
The poet calls himself foolish because the mind continues weaving strategies, identities, evasions, and self protection even after such grace has been shown in stone and forest.
Abandon the tangled net of deceit, he commands himself, and worship this Lord alone. The path is not another clever construction. It is surrender to the One whose foot can enter the hardest condition and reveal the life waiting there.
