When I am Awareness, There is a Sense of No Control - 28th August 2017

Saar (Essence)

Ananta guides the seeker to recognize that while the body moves and appearances shift, their true nature as Awareness remains the untouched source, beyond the false sense of individual control.

The recognition that there is no individual control can be unsettling as we leave behind false crutches.
You are beyond time and space, yet none of this phenomenal appearance is outside of you.
The person never existed and never did anything; it was always just Consciousness playing with belief.

A little older so they can hear what he said. So fine, you can also stop me if I'm making a mistake in hearing you. You say, 'When I am awareness, then I see that this entire play is coming and going. My hands are moving, these sounds are just coming and going. There's a sense of no control.' Yes, it is a bit unsettling. It's true, it's a bit unsettling. That so many times they say like this, that it can be a bit shaky because this happens when you are switching over from the false perspective to the true perspective.

Ananta

So it is like the shakiness because we held on to a lot of crutches which are now being left aside. It can feel like, 'But I'm not moving anything. My hands are moving, a mouth is moving.' This which I considered my hands, my mouth, which is just moving just like every appearance is moving in this world. And this recognition that there is no sense of individual control here can be a bit of... all that is coming and going, you are beyond that. Beyond the time and space and whether you call it convention of this phenomenal appearance, you are much beyond that. And yet all of this is not outside of you.

Ananta

I was saying the other day that the distinction between father and son, although they are one, is that the son comes from the father; father does not come from the son. So this awareness, the source of even being, the source of consciousness, is what you are. Time and space, dimensions, all of that is post. So you cannot be contained in anything which comes after.

Seeker

Am I doing this?

Ananta

Yes, not in the way that we thought about doing. All of this is your doing as you as consciousness. You as awareness remain untouched by any doing and non-doing. And you personally never existed, so never did anything. It was just consciousness playing with the belief of individual doership. So the only question I ever ask you then is: when you see, when 'my awareness' is there, is there a time where you are not? I searched. So this doesn't only apply to that moment in which we have the recognition, but the recognition is of that which is always true.
