How can I make you inspired or struck about this fact that God lives within you? God can be found. It's much more important than a million bricks of gold. The best looking life partner can be found. The most love which is possible in the human condition can be found—worldly love. What else do we chase? Money, health of the body... the healthiest immortal body can be found. Much more important than any of that is that God can be found. But to find God, we must let go of ourself. Not outwardly. You don't have to be outwardly spontaneous or outwardly rebellious. But inwardly you have to become a sadhu, unattached to anything the world has to offer. This is the price of admission. You can't get around it.

You may have the best connections on the inside. Therefore, the best master, the best spiritual sadhana, the best everything, the best practices, the best environment, everything. You see, but without getting over yourself, you cannot make it through. That you have to do. And this work has to be done thought by thought. It has to be done. So thought by thought you have to let go. Especially when it seems like you are disconnected and you start to wonder what is going wrong. I'll tell you what is going wrong: You're buying your thought. You have to stop buying that thought. You see, it's never anything else.

You see, so the mind has this nature of trickery. It'll tell you, 'No, it is that life event. No, no, it is that pain in the body. No, no, it is the feelings that you're feeling right now. It is the anger or frustration or guilt or lust or something you're feeling right now which is causing all the trouble to you. Fix that first. Then we'll see the mind later.' It's not true. The disconnection, the mode of switching out from God, is belief in thought. As much as you would love to, you cannot switch on that belief and not switch off the presence. I'm again making it very simplistic but it is more or less like that.

The mind says, 'Yes, yes, we want God,' you see, 'but why can't we both live together in peace and harmony? Just that you buy a little bit of me. I'm here for practical things and, you know, day-to-day stuff. I do the rest, God is there.' You see? And whoever is over the practical stuff, this world just keeps running and we just keep running after it. There's no end to that so-called practical. And if the highest intelligence is already sitting in your heart guiding you, what do you need to go to the lower one for?

So because we are scared mostly—'what will happen to me'—and we want to surrender to God with guarantees. 'Therefore, I'm going to surrender to you, but make sure that I am enlightened. Because if I surrender also, and I don't get enlightened also, then big problem. I've given up my life for you, you see, and you are not even revealing yourself. That's not fair.' You see? Therefore, we say, okay, now these things are true. How many conversations have we had over the last 10-12 years saying, 'But this is true, no?' How can you say even... no, nothing can be framed as a concept is true, even about perception. You see, that's why I keep asking: What is this? What is this? If you can't even decide for one moment, how are we able to judge so much? I wonder if we are all meeting these...
