Saar (Essence)

Ananta explains that the individual person is a mythical construct within infinite consciousness, urging seekers to recognize that the one seeking enlightenment does not actually exist.

The person was never actually born; a finite being never actually existed.
The end of suffering is the end of individuality.
Divine consciousness plays a game of forgetting its identity and then creating alarm clocks to wake itself up.

If there is an example of the drop, there is a finite drop which merges. Was it ever finite? The example of the drop is actually that the drop is in the ocean already, but it seems to have a voice. We were looking at a... okay, let's take a simpler one again. It takes... it's not the water... see, this... there's one part of the, one aspect of this glass of water which starts speaking as if it is individual. And then it seems to attach itself with some molecules or some boundaries, just saying 'This is what I am, the rest of it is not me.' So our consciousness, our being, is like the infinite ocean in which all the appearances are coming and going, including the appearance of this form. If you look at it as this body, all of this is here. One consciousness, one being. It's the ability to mark itself and become limited. We need to be for identification with the mind. It is, I think, consciousness playing a play, a Leela, in this way. And then it also designed it in a way where it said to itself, 'I'm with it.' So beautifully, divine consciousness is only... what do you want to say? It's so good, a clear design. Individual of that, I myself, I come to a point where I get confused about my true identity. So let me, in the design of the scale, also create these alarm clocks which will show us from time to time and remind myself that I am not this. You are just metaphors, okay? And not to be taken seriously, links pointing out how this play of the world seems to function on surface itself, being as impotent, polluted, executive... do pollution generated? And consciousness itself playing the role of the seeker and then giving others... come out of its Leela of individuality.

So the person was never actually born in the creek. Finite being never actually existed. And that is so obvious because if I ask you, in what way is the body concerned about enlightenment? What should we say? Body is unconcerned. So where is that one that is concerned about enlightenment? What do you mean? The mind? Oh, the mind? Does it mean anything? That one just wouldn't exist even at a phenomenal level. This is an idea of water. Then of course we will find the teaching line with pointing, and a popular one is this where you are an aspect of consciousness which you are not, consuming itself. Let's go always with the line of teaching. If it will not align with the ideas that I have had about myself, although I can see the benefits of it with emphasis, at least the idea of your being an individual entity seems to be false. Even there, as we see ourselves being consciousness and the source of consciousness itself, or a part or a drop within consciousness, the end of suffering is the end of individuality. And then you can get with your experience of your discovery about your... at least this much all of us can be certain about. But that entity which wants something, like the voice of worship of quality you desire, there is no tangible entity to attend this. There is nobody like that.
