Don't Believe My Words, Check for Yourself - 3rd January 2018
Saar (Essence)
Ananta invites seekers to investigate the unchanging witness within their own experience, emphasizing that all spiritual pointers are merely temporary tools to be discarded once their purpose of self-discovery is served.
You don't have to believe anything; just check for yourself what is unchanging in your own experience.
If anything in satsang makes you feel unworthy or guilty, just forget it; nothing is serious.
Pointers are like thorns used to remove other thorns; once the work is done, throw both away.

The second best news is that you don't have to believe anything I'm saying. You don't have to believe anything I'm saying. You don't have to use any beliefs. All you have to do is just check for yourself. Is that which Ananta is saying there? Is there the unchanging? Can I find that in my own experience? What is the unchanging? Bhagavan has said, find out that which witnesses all that changes without changing, or I'm changing. What has no attributes but is, but has no limitations of boundaries? What is beyond your waking state, dream state, deep sleep state? It remains untouched when this waking state goes. Can you take anything from here into sleep? Every phenomena goes, but you are there. Who is this you?
So all those who made a deal with me that you're going to remain motionless, I'm watching you. And we meet tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. Okay, I have to be careful. That's nice. So if you take it seriously, you know the golden rule: if anything you hear in Satsang makes you feel unworthy or guilty, just forget what you heard. Just playing with these things. Nothing is serious. All is done anyway. So don't come tomorrow feeling guilty, you know, 'Father, we said that I'll be motionless but I picked up so many notions, I don't deserve to be in Satsang with you.' It's not true.
This is a beautiful book I was reading many years ago, before an encounter with A Course in Miracles. What happened is that after the initial scribes passed away, there used to be a lot of debates in the Course community about what was meant by this and what was meant by that. People fight and argue and it became more about the debating, actually. So then one of the original students of the Course was invited one day for one of these debates and he said this: 'Take those pages, tear them and throw them away, because they are not it.' So all these pointers, if they just become more of the words for you to be something and better, we'll throw them away. You don't need any pointers. The only purpose is the one who said, 'Tongs to remove the thorns, and then throw these thorns away as well.'
