Saar (Essence)

Ananta guides seekers to investigate the core of their existence, teaching that one must either inquire into the self to find the truth or surrender all personal ideas to the Master.

Look for yourself and see if there is anything personal about existence.
You can either have it 'my way' like Frank Sinatra, or you can have the Master's way.
Drop allegiance to the voice that claims there is an individual entity at the core of your being.

So what it is that we are exploring again? We're looking at what is the core, what might be the centrality of my existence. Is there an individual entity? There is this existence, the presence of consciousness, all other terms. So, it is presumed that there is an individual entity here, and the voice which is mostly available in the form of thoughts is also reinforcing this idea. Then, what I am suggesting is: look for themselves. For those who are attracted to inquiry, look for yourself and see, okay, what is here? Is there something personal about existence? I exist, but am I this type of person?

Ananta

And for those who feel that they cannot look—it seems like inquiry itself is not suitable to this looking—then they can surrender to whatever smells like the truth to them. In the presence of that, if they find inner peace, they find spaciousness, and then from within they can hand over their existence. This existence, even if it seems like there are two for now, they offer it to the one. Exactly. Can I do inquiry or surrender? This is what is meant.

Ananta

I think we look for ourselves, what that 'I am' is. And if we find that we cannot look, we just hand over all ideas about ourselves to that which smells of truth. And usually, it's a combination of these two. So sometimes you just start to catch the absolute person. Why, what, when, where? Look at one main question, which is 'Who?' And that is it. Thank you. Yeah, that's it. Until that is clear, and if we're able to ask 'Who?', and so then there's all ideas, all the W's surrender to what the Master, whatever you feel like is close to the truth.

Ananta

You read on the other day that you can either be Frank Sinatra or you can have a Master. Then we're trying to nurture it. You can either have 'my way' or you can have a Master's way. It was also an Indian thing that 'I am my own master.' Then you trust your mind. Having anything else, because we drop allegiance in this one which is claiming that there is an individual entity at the core of my being. At once, go to what you want.
